Photographer's Note

Weird place Singapore.

We have pre-WWII houses and tiny streets next to Malls,Commercial Districts and expressways. The only time you feel like you're back from the countryside is when you spent a couple of days in the jungle on excercises and spied the first McDonald's on the way back to camp.

This place here is a small path leading to the the Central Business District from the Ang Siang Hill Park ( hill is an exaggeration, its a knoll minus minus, Tai Vo has posted pics on Ang Siang Road recently, do take at look at those).

It was post dusk as I walked along this pathway towards the CBD.

With the condos and the shophouses forming a small valley and flanked by trees and streetlights; it felt like I had arrived from the countryside and was making my way to the Big City, guided by my little path and the bright lights ahead.

When you reached the end of the path that feeling is gone as the CBD is normally deserted at night...even Starbucks closes at 6 or 7pm here.

Maybe I should retitle this as "This way to the GhostTown"?

Processing - a dastardly twig hanging low from the top right corner was removed. Cropping was not an option as I would lose the roof of the shophouse in the foreground.
General outline cropping and sharpening done.

Do drop a critique after taking a look , no smilies required, but your opinion can help me do better :)
