Ponte Umberto I / Umberto the first bridge /

This bridge was built between 1903 and 1907 to replace the suspension bridge “Maria Teresa”. Ponte Umberto I, designed by Vincenzo Micheli and Enrico Ristori, is surely the most monumental and majestic bridge in Turin. It crosses the Po and links corso Vittorio with the Crimea area under the hill. Giovanni Reduzzi sculpted the four statues at the four angles of the bridge representing Piety, Valor, Art, and Industry.
