Photographer’s Note
Every Sunday in Cape Town (just near the water front) there is a market, in this market you can find all sort of street art, masks and loads of cool African stuff.
What amazed me the most is that these hard working people (whom I'm sure not earning too much) are very happy and calm. They are happy to explain and walk you through everything they have to sell, not like in so many markets around the world where everybody is so tense. This lady was just staring at the people with joy

AN intersting daily life shot, sorry to quibble, but I can't help feeling that a point of view a few feet to your right would have given a better composition. The background is a bit washed out (PP?) and her head may be picked out better against the less complicated pattern, and more bightly lit, cloth to her right.

The people in this are love patterns and your shot has captured that very well. Also a nice peaceful, contented feeling as you say.

Nice slightly wistful portrait that conveys a sense of serenity in the subject.
Very nice shot

Un portrait qui met bien en valeur la douceur des traits du modèle et l'esthétique de la composition. Ciao/jr
