Photographer’s Note
Constructed through the end of eighteenth century, Ishak Pasa Palace stands on a high plateau at the East Anatolia -5 km to Dogubayazit and very close to Ararat Mountain. Its construction lasted for 99 years (1685-1784) and this palace with its 116 rooms on an area of 7600m2 in fact was a castle of an Ottoman Pasha with its tomb, mosque, ramparts, internal and external courtyards, divan and harem.
It's one of the most beautiful places (palaces) in the whole of Turkey which combines the architectural features of the Turks, the Seljuks and the Ottomans.
This palace is the second biggest Ottoman palace in Turkey, after Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.

Hi Idil,
this is a very interesting shot, as I haven´t ever seen an inside view of Ishak Pasa.
It´s a pity the rain water can come into the house. Is there no money to restaurate it?
