This is Blankenheim in the Eifel.
In the middle, you can see the white
half-timbered house. Under this house the river Ahr take it's rise. Behind the flowers you can see a very little Ahr. After a few kilometers, the Ahr is a wide, swirly and beautiful river, which streams through the german Ahrtal.

J'adore cette photo pour la pureté des couleurs, la netteté et l'abscence de toute zone surexposée ou sousexposée, le bleu du ciel et l'impression de chaleur que donne la partie ensoleillée de la rue.

A beautiful glimpse of a typically German piece of architecture, Hans. The half-timbered house appropriately takes center stage, but you also have included a lot of tasteful details like the flowers, the streetlamp, the ivy, that make up a very pleasing total. Good shooting angle, and fine colors and light. Well done.

U heeft wel de mooiste plaatjes uitgezocht in de Eifel Hans, de bloemen de gebouwen en een blauwe hemel wat wil men nog meer, zeer mooi en scherp werk Hans.

I adore timber-framed houses, and this is a very interesting specimen, indeed. The colours are great, sharpness fine and the flowers in the foreground add a nice touch.
