A Dedication To... Photo

Photographer’s Note

I dedicate this shot to my grandma, who reached the age of 84 today, but also passed away from us this day. Leaving behind 10 children, 11 grandchildren (all boys, complete soccerteam) and one great-grandchild.
So I dedicate this simple, pure nature shot to her!

No editing except for rotate and crop.
To keep the photo as pure as it was...as my grandma was also pure of heart.
That's why also no workshop is allowed.

RIP Grandma.

I have versions with the sun in another place in the composition, but for this purpose I liked the centered the most..my grandma was in the centre of our family

What a moving dedication, Emiel!
Grandmas are always also good friends, and you certainly will miss her for a long time.

Nice to see such a simple and well done sun falling into the sea.

Hi Emiel,

Often used, but in your case, simply perfect. My condollecences to you. Did she came from asia minor ? If so, she would have seen this scene for many years looking towards west!
Sure you will miss her. But this is a god gift on her long trip now !

My condolations, Emiel ... it´s not easy to lose someone near!
I like this photo with the downgoing sun - so simple - but yet so beautiful ... it tells us that even if it´s the end of the day, we shouldn´t worry ...
I like that you dedicated a photo to someone who was important to you, to somebody you really knew, to somebody you really cared of!

Hallo Emiel,
Vraag mij wel eens af waarom we een note typen want veel mensen lezen hem domweg niet. En vooral in dit geval zouden ze dat nu wel eens moeten doen.
Was het de vorige keer een oom van je, nu dus je Oma, tjsa das lullig man, ook al was ze op een respectable leeftijd.
Mooi met die goven in de voorgrond, lijkt net alsof er nog een laatste groet in zit...mooi.

Wonderful photo for such an occasion... it reflects your mood well. I disagree with "pally3100" - on this occasion it is alright to have the main object in the middle, it deserves it! This is a very impressive sunset!
