Photographer’s Note

This is a seacape in Caliocan Island, an island considered part of Samar province in the Visayan region of the Philippines. There are many caves in the mountains that surround the island, and the caves cannot be explored during high tide as the mighty Pacific brings its waves and surfs to the shore and the cave interior.

During a low tide, we were able to explore the interior of some caves. I was with a graduate student who was collecting various species of ferns thriving on caves as part of her PhD thesis and research work.

Sounds like it was a very ineresting trip. You've captured the beauty of the day well from the puffy clouds in the sky to the turquoise water, the rocky beach and the rampant green ferns. The two small people give a good idea of scale.

Impressive view captured with the low POV, which enhances the beauty for sure. Wonderful colours of the sea & contrasts in colour in what appears to be quite harsh light. Inclusion of the two people is a big plus

The landscape is so pleasant, in the minaiture I didn't see those people, they're strategically placed in the frame. Good shot.

There is some sadness in this shot despite the tropical colours. Maybe because of low tide and the dead tree on the beach. I like how you conveyed such an atmosphere in your shot.

Impressive shot to capture this rustic and wild looking shoreline. Its rugged nature is well illustrated in your picture, especially when we look at the debris in the foreground. Nice colouring and a good pov, especially with the inclusion of the cliff face and the lush vegetation.

Exactly or the old tree on the beach are a artwork, splendid beach picture certainly the green vegetation on the rocks to right, a difficult strolls path where this walker be, excellent composition too! Thanks for sharing.

A very rugged beach with all the rocks and driftwood. Interesting low cliffs with the heavy covering of foliage. The two people in the scene are excellently placed for scale.
