St James's Gate, Dublin Ireland. Entrance to the famed Guinness Brewery. These railway tracks were once used for moving barrels on site and can still be seen around the buildings.

Leased in 1759 by Arthur Guinness for 9,000 years at £45 per year, St. James's Gate has been the home of Guinness ever since. It became the largest brewery in Ireland in 1838, and the largest in the world by 1914. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, the brewery owned most of the buildings in the surrounding area, including many streets of housing for brewery employees, and offices associated with the brewery.

"All photographs are there to remind us of what we forgot."
Yes Paul, well stated and very appropriate here. Nothing technical to fault here and a well composed shot.
Mark

Ahh, the road home! :) Really nice perspective and rich tones here as well! Regards, Doug

Darn. Those tracks stop just short of the goal. ;) Nice image. -Hugh

hello paul

great pov. i love this different and creatively unique view you saw for this shot. seems different from the standard shot of the gates that everyone gets. congrats.

it is original and well composed!
ciao!
Valeria

Hi Paul,
Great shot. Good choice of B&W. I really like how the tracks lead you through the picture. Thnaks for sharing,
Christianna

Hola Paul
una imagen muy bien trabajada, el POV con inclinacion hacia abajo y formato vertical, con el nos muestras una gran perspectiva, son un verdadero acierto.
la conversion a B&W, con buena escala de grises perfecta definición.
buen trabajo
saludos

Hi Paul,
Great POV and composition. I like even better the B&W choice for the shot. It deepens in the imtemporality of the place and creats an aura of mistery... are the tracks stopping too short of the end or begining to far away? I was in Dublin last year for a weekend, and besides loving it I could see that wherever you look there's there's the guinness presence. TFS.Rafa.

PS: I love Dublin!! I was there for a few days in 2000, but unfortunatly I was not in the digital photo world yet... I only have some lousy photos... Hope to come back one day!

Hello Paul
Great work in B&W. I like specially the variety of greys. The taste of old times.
Saludos,
Pepe
