I must agree that it might not be a new discovery within photography but I must say you have captured this very well.
The sharpness is excelent, and the still water of the river Arno is magnificent mirror. It's an old cliche that people can do again and again when they do it this well:)

Hi Tan,
Florence is a beautiful city(I never been there) whith its old architecture - Light is great as well the reflection of houses and bridge. Nice to see the contrast between the quiet silhouetted fisherman and the traffic jam on the bridge. Colors are well rendered too...

This is almost a mirror...everthing's perfect & the inclusion of the silhouetted angler, the icing on the cake..IMHO zooming a tad to eliminate the left to make the angler's figure bigger would have been nice too
But this is a superb picture!

I see TE just can't get enough of Florence, and so can't I, excellent reflections and perspective, I like especially how the row of reflections of the houses is interrupted by the bridge reflection.

Well, I guess the reason that the cliches became cliches in the first place is that they are beautiful and everyone want to see them. This photo shows why, becasuse the reflection here is gorgeous. The light is great too, and I like the man fishing on the bank, giving this a little touch of intimacy. Well done!

I don't know what is the secret of your genius, Tan, but everywhere you go, you seem to be able to create heroic landscapes and cityscapes, full of luminosity and colour. You are the master of this genre. The clarity, composition and colour of this one would be worthy of a renaissance painter. Regards Kevin.

Hi Tan,
No two shots of this area are the same, and you have captured the scene in magnificent light. My only slight critisism would have been to crop the foreground a little so as to bring the fisherman in closer, though that may have adversely affected the balance of bright buildings/reflections contrasting with the darker foreground. The golden hues and tones are alluring and the fisherman nonetheless clearly seen. I also like the way the hustle and bustle of traffic on the bridge is largely obscured. Well captured, Tan.

Hi Tan. Yes if you hadn’t pointed it out I might have missed the fisherman but on the other hand if you hadn’t pointed it out I might have missed the rush hour traffic also. The light and reflections are indeed great and the silhouette of the fisherman is just spot on. Thanks for sharing.

The cliche is perfect, but still you surprised me. My first impression was that you took the picture in Pizza. The fisherman is almost completely hidden, but still a very important element fo your composition. It makes the cliche perfect.

Hi Tan - you know, it's not as much of a cliche as showing us another photo of the Ponte Vecchio (and I'm guilty as charged on that one!). The reflections are really good & I think you struck a good blance for the exposure with the darker foreground & brighter river & buildings. The fisherman appears as a silhouette.

Fine shot & the traffic on the bridge merely highlights what a busy city Florence is.

Hi Tan,
I was there 2 weeks after you. I never had such a warm light.
The reflections on the Arno are very hard to resist indeed (I have a B&W view of the same bridge and some color ones of other bridges around. I might post one in the coming days.). I like the tube effect of the arches.
