Photographer’s Note

A picture taken in Diyarbakir, the big city in southeastern Turkey. This is the shop of a broom maker. They manufacture them with artisanal methods, and sell them right there. But this guy was so proud of his immediate environment, that I dubbed him " The King of Broom makers "

what an interesting photo, the broom maker seams lie a happy man amongst his goods. the way thery are stacked would also be an interesting possibility for a photo. good luck for his buisness, bye

Well there is a turkey guidebook shot if I ever saw one. Great environmental portrait of a lovely quirly Turkish businessman and his wares...great colours, great patterns and a great mustache

Arka plandaki süpürgelerin kontrastı ve "kral" ın pozisyonu harika... Sade ama çok keyifli bir kompozisyon olmuş... Adan hakikaten kral gibi duruyor. :)

Merhaba sayın Hocam,
Bir de tahtı olsaydı. Süpürgeden oluşan fon önünde harika bir portre. Gömlek hoş bir kontrast oluşturmuş. Temiz ve sade bir iş. Ellerine sağlık.

The composition of this great portrait is excellent.
I like the design formed by the brooms.
The man is like a diamond in a jewellery box or rather a king, as you call him, in his throne room.

Bonjour, Izzet. C'est vrai qu'il a l'air drôlement fier, ce monsieur. Ces balais sont méticuleusement rangés et servent très bien d'arrière-plan pour la réalisation de son portrait. Sa chemise rouge ressort très bien sur le fond clair des brosses. Sa bonne carrure et sa moustache fleurie correspondent bien à l'image que l'on se fait du Turc moyen. C'est une très bonne idée de l'avoir photographié dans son environnement de travail.

Excellent ce marchand de balais entouré de véritables murailles de sa marchandise. Il a vraiment l'air très fier de poser ainsi pour toi. Est ce facile de photgraphier les gens en Turquie?
