Airports are more and less alike. The waiting areas are filled with things to spend money on and the eating areas try to fool us to believe that they are luxurious though they are really just one step over the hot dog stand on the street corner.

All airports have similar architecture with big windows overlooking the airplanes and enormous ceiling heights. The ceiling height is often so big that they have false ceilings hanging down to make us feel at ease like here at Copnhagen airport Kastrup.

From another window a ray of light shot down on the perfect skull in the foreground. The man was waiting for his food and I sneaked some pictures of him from different angles and this was the best.

A very fine skull indeed, and the contrast of this round shape with all the straight lines of the windows and the false ceiling is good, and so are the dark silhouettes of people as background. The tail of the airplane adds a nice airport fwwling too.

Good compo, interesting lines and patterns, however i would have liked some additional work on the bald guy, a bit too much on the dark side currently.

I do not exactly agree with you Ebbe ; although airports tend to aim towards similar architecture and services, there are certain local features that make you guess which country it belongs to.
It's for me a game to see new airports and guess which has taken or inspired to what. I think there could be a very interesting theme about airports shots

Very nice mood you gave tius with your nice note a feeling that we weare in the same location and B&W color made us feel it much better . nice shot Ebbe

Ok let the real Jeppe step forward ;-)

I must try to find some of my holiday shots from Sweden; there must be some to post.

Oh yes - its not that often I have the chance of flying - but I can relate to this very well - There’s many nice memories in such a shot - perhaps not the waiting time - but the journey afterward. Thanks for sharing Ebbe - one for the hunt ;-)

I guess Torben and Luko said it all - but the beer glass also something I remember, even I never use them.

Finally you got your skull, Ebbe. Hunting skulls to Darren's order is a nice sport, but somehow all bald people disapeared since April 1st, with all the yellow cars, didn't even leave a motion blur behind..
Good one, Ebbe, B/W is a good choice.

I like this one, Ebbe, and I like airports - I agree with Luco, they should have their own theme. Nice light on the skull (the main object) and good compressed backdrop - people, bar, glass wall and aircraft fins. The contrasting shapes are interesting and well accentuated in B&W. But what I think makes this a hit is the composition created by the tele-lens shot. Well done!

Copenhagen Airport is a dream come true compared to Los Angeles' Tom Bradley International (talk about hot dog stand), as I wrote in my travelogue... ;o)
