Photographer’s Note

Hello folks.
Another shot from our Rome-tour. This time it shows some "gladiators" in front of the Colloseum. Back in its days the gladiators were strong men that fought against other gladiators or against wild animals, such as lions or tigers. It was up to the spectacors to decide (showing thumb up or down) if the gladiator won or lost. The gladiator that lost got killed (how, I don't know or even want to know). His blood were drained out of his body and was after the "show" sold! At that time they thought that the strength was in the blood. These "facts" did I learn from our superb man who guided us round in the Colloseum.
