hi Caleb, like many of your shots, I think this is excellent. Great composition with the bright red water carrier catching the eye and drawing the viewer into the monochrome images in the remainder of the shot. cheers, Steve

An amazing mix of colour, light and shades in an image which is quintessentially small time Indin street corner. The shaded portion is telling its own story while the lady in red is sharp and bright.

Hello, Caleb--
This is a nice picture, for sure, but something about it doesn't catch me like some of your other pieces... i think that it really is lacking the strong facial expressions that you so often capture, and comes off kind of dry as a result. Technically it's nice, for sure, well balanced with the intense reds of the lady against the dull blues of the rest of the scene, the background boys are placed well, not running out of the frame, and the writing gives a good sense of context... but i just don't connect with this one like some of your other pieces.

Great contrasts here Caleb, both in terms of the brightly lit subject and dark background, and also how the red of her clothing and the gold of the water jug both leap out from that darkness behind. It really is very striking and gives this shot an immediate impact.

Hi Caleb,
I like that the lady and her pot are highlighted by the sun and everything else in the scene is in shadow. The colours are nice on her and the group of boys in the background adds nice extra interest.

Hello Caleb,
As others have commented, what is really striking about this shot is the light on the woman contrasting with the darkness in the rest of the image. The red of the dress and particularly that shimmering gold jug. Passing the boys, one has the impression of being another water carrier following behind. Chris
