Photographer’s Note
Another early morning this time at Ullswater in the Lake District. I was lucky to be at this viewpoint when the lone canoeist paddled into view which I feel made this shot in showing man and nature peacefully at one with each other. Not one of my best shots technically and one I wish I could take again.

Nice One Robin. Great combination of Sky and water reflections. Having the canoist in really takes the photo from a dramatic landscape photo to something more unique.
Well spotted.

Wow - A coolpix 995! I'm inspired that you created such a beautiful photo with that camera! The Coolpix 800 was my very first.
I love the tranquility of this scene, the beautiful colours and ripples and how the foreground wedge points us to the subject. Great work.

Great shot Robin! I don't understand why it doesn't have more citiques. The scene of the lake and mountains is wonderful, and the kayaker adds another level of enjoyment to it. If possible, I would also try a tighter crop around the kayaker and the mountains, which I think would make a great shot, although it wouldn't have the same sense of space. Great work!

Hi Robin,
You shuoldn't be too critical of yourself - I think it is a great shot, very well composed with excellent depth.
Well done
Neil...
