Photographer’s Note
I was visiting Ilha Mocambique in 1999 with a Project care official when I snapped this picture with an old 35MM camera. Not the best picture, but the colors intrigued me.

Hi Rene,
I knew that people were black in Mozambique, but I didn't know that they were THAT black ;-)
It's a bit of a pitty that we can't see the details of the face of these people, because after this is what matters in this photo. Maybe you can see these details on the original and you could try to rescan and photoshop a bit?
The colors are very nice otherwise, this is what attracted me.
I know it'a a matter of taste, but I think that this frame is a bit overkilled... (I know scanner, small photo etc...)
It was a good try.

Hi Rene (once again)
I was visiting your gallery and i was "stubbed” by this one.
U did a wonderful job adding that frame, and sincerely, choosing the frame is one of the main "issues" here on TE.
All those colors and then the discrete futures of the women are great.
Great job!

hello Rene,
despite not being able to see the face of this group it is still a very good picture. A great composition with colour and ife in it. The frame is perfect.
regards
Bev
