Debot Temple Photo

Photographer’s Note

Debod Temple (Debut, Debot, Debout, Dabod or Dabud) was built by Pharaoh Adikhalamani in the third century BC. The Temple was originally dedicated to the god Amun. Ptolemy VI, VIII, and XII enlarged it and re-dedicated it to Isis.

The temple is now located in Madrid, Spain, an expression of thanks to the Spanish people for their assistance with the rescue of Nubian monuments in the 1960's.

Hello Manuel,
une photo pas facile, mais quand on les réussit, elles peuvent être si belles.
Des eaux en mirroir, rien ne bouge, la sérénité totale.

Great shot, with perfect light management. It looks like there was not even a single breathe of air, the reflections are perfectly still. Wonderful.

preciosa toma nocturna de este templo en Madrid, has hecho un excelente trabajo con la exposición, que da como resultado unos bellos tonos dorados de la iluminación, que junto a los reflejos en el agua crean una gran imagen, muy estética y atractiva.

Olá amigo,
É bom ver-te de volta à acção após uma pausa prolongada.
E voltas em grande estilo, com um belo nocturno de um templo que me é bem familiar.
A exposição, luz intima (apesar de ser uma foto de exterior), e os reflexos do templo na água estão muito bons.
Fico à espera das próximas.
Um abraço e desejos de uma excelente ano de 2007 já que ainda não tinhamos comunicado desde o ano passado.

Manuel, je ne connaissais pas ce temple égyptien de Madrid. Sans la note, j'aurais juré que ce temple se situait en Egypte. Une belle façon de remercier les Espagnols pour avoir participé au sauvetage d'Abou Simbel.
J'aime l'effet que suggère la photo, on dirait que le temple sort de la nuit et de l'eau comme par un sortilège.

Olá Manuel, bem aparecido sejas e bom ano 2007 para ti! Tens estado ausente, mas desde que não desapareças completamente, já fico contente. Esta imagem é espectacular e diria que de facto parece mais vinda de um país africano que de Madrid. Conheço a cidade e confesso que não me lembro de onde sacaste esta. É ouro sobre preto ;-) Muito boa mesmo!

No me digas que has estado en Madrid y no te has pasado a vernos por Barcelona, ay ay jejejeje. Como estamos Manuel, hace tiempo que no sabiamos de ti.

La foto de regreso es realmente buena, este tipo de fotos clasicas en caomposicion son las que mas me gusta. La luz es perfecta y el reflejo espectacular.

Un gran trabajo.

A ver si apareces mas a menudo.

This is a beautiful image. The night shot is very well exposed and even without the reflections it would be good. The presence of the reflections raise the level and change "beautiful" into "stunning".

Hola Manuel

Creo que ha sido un acierto hacer esta foto de noche. No sólo porque has conseguido unos colores dorados preciosos y unos reflejos perfectos en el agua sino también porque has evitado la vista de la gran ciudad.
Siempre me he preguntado por qué se puso este templo en Madrid cuando en España hay tantas zonas desérticas que quizás harían destacar más a este monumento.

After long time without joining the TE I just come-in and had to see some old friends photos - I really liked this photot with very good colours - I will probably be out of comments in the future - I prefer just to add some photos once in a while and see other people photos to relax and enjoy - good luck and good job
