Photographer's Note

There isn't anything spectacular in this picture, it's just a piece of german landscape. From the left to the right the view goes along the horizon from Hengsberg over Fehrbach to the industrial north end of Pirmasens. The part of our city in the right foreground is called Schachen.

On that afternoon I went from a super market car park over the street to check the sight. First I wondered what was flowering behind the meadow at the end of October. Then I thought the white plants would give something of interest to the foreground of a panorama picture. The view was captured in 11 photos and AutoStitch put them together. As always with cloudless sky the finished panorama had a very uneven one. So I took the paint pot tool and skipped some blue into the sky. The top and bottom edges of the panorama were very irregular and I had to clone some grass to fill two gaps in the final cropping.
