Photographer’s Note

The Ayeyarwady is Burma's longest river at about 1350 miles or 2170 km long and its most important commercial waterway, with a drainage area of about 158,700 square miles (411,000 km²). This scene was taken near Bagan, when in late afternoon a woman left for the opposite bank with her young child in the boat with her.
