Photographer’s Note
Taken on the riverside of the ganges just below the guest house we were staying in. I saw this sinking temple and thought that it would make a great subject to photograph.

Hi Wanda,
Good documentary shot, its one of those must visit places as one takes a boat ride along the ghats of Varanasi. I was there earlier this month and have a similar vertical shot.

Hi Wanda,
It's indeed a great subject to photograph, and you did it splendidly. I don't know exactly why, but my eyes tend to go look first at the boat, the at the temple and keeping going up absorbing every detail. It's very well composed and has a rather peaceful mood.
I like it very much.
TFS, Regards, José.

Hi Wanda,
I was going back in your gallery to see your shots taken in the Himalayas, and to try to figure out if it was as cold over there as it will be here when you'll arrive....
But then, I stop on this one, because this is a temple I wish I could have shoot properly, but didn't succeed at it - too much fog.
It's an impressive view, somehow reminding me of the Pisa tower. But in this case, they seem to let the temple sinking instead of trying to save it.
Your photo is so clear and crisp that both structures appears like if they have been sandblasted and look like new... And to continue the parallel with Italy, the boat in the front with a guy standing on the ghat makes me think of a gondola... :-P)
A very nice image that I would have like to get for myself.
From MTL to JHB.
