Photographer’s Note
There was a quarter in Dublin with plenty of houses beeing built of simple red bricks without any decorations and as all of the buildings looked the same someone had the great idea to have at least the doors painted in a different colours.
Most of these doors are to be found around Merrion Square and in fact nobody cares today about the rather boring facades, but everyone is looking for the fancy doors and you may even see them on plenty of postcards and posters everywhere in Dublin.

Hi Anne,
Your composition has an impact with the red & blue doors. I would make the composition even tighter by cropping out the window on the left and getting rid of most, if not all, of the pavement. I would also try again in an overcast day to see if the colors have more punch without the harshness of the direct sunlight, and without the shadows.
Thank you for sharing this neat image and the idea. I'll be visiting Dublin in April and will make sure to be around Merrion Square.
Best wishes,
Hakan

Good photo but it's a pity you don't cut the window on the left. Otherwise compo is ok, light good.
