Photographer’s Note
Cannes, France
Cannes is a famous town in the south of France and is home to the Cannes Film Festival. The festival, held at the end of May, is famous for launching many films and for the celebrities that attend the festival. It is truly the place to see and be seen.
Unfortunately, we visited Cannes twice on day trips from Nice and saw NO stars, only other tourists. I was informed by a director I met at the Nice airport on my way home that the stars don't usually come out during the day, as they are so busy sleeping off the late-night parties. So, if you come to Cannes, be prepared to stay up late if you are looking for celebrities!

A lovely, vibrant shot Cheryl. I like the colours & the sharpness.
And isn't that Johnny Depp peeking through the shutters? ;)
Regards, David.

It's not at all difficult to see 'stars' during the festival, just go down to the red carpeted area outside the conference centre on the Croisette and join the crowds before the evening screenings.
Was dragged there last year (I had been swimming a bit further along the coast, much more interesting) and saw the 'stars' at the opening of the new Pedro Andromavar film.
