Another rainy day in Belgrade downtown. In this picture you can see the center of Belgrade, The Republic Square. The place from where you usually start your sightseeing in Belgrade, The Republic Square is located in the heart of Belgrade's central municipality, Old Town. Old Town municipality was founded in 1961, and with its 18 museums, 9 theaters, 4 public libraries and 16 galleries is the cultural, historical and educational nucleus of Serbian capital, and whole republic. In the picture you can see the monument to Mihailo Obrenović, Serbian prince from 19th century, and little part of National Museum founded in 1844. The beautiful building at the right is National Theater, opened in 1868.
