Photographer’s Note
Taken with my old Canon AE1 Program & now scaned, this photo was of a passenger boat going past the tent opening, I just got the camara out in time. At the time we were camping on the edge of lake Geneva Switzerland.

Hallo Wilson!
An interesting and not everyday picture - an eye catcher! There's nothing spectacular in it, but it gives the feeling of summer and warmth. A lovely shot!
Greetings from Germany - and have a nice weekend!

Funny catch, Wilson. A different approach seeing Luzern, but so typical the ship moving by. I am a tenter too but usually I do it abroad so not much experience in my own country. I did not know that Luzern has a campground ... you had a room with a view, not bad! Barbara.

Hello Wilson,
Sorry to disagree with you, but this is clearly not on the edge of Lake Lucerne. The boat, (just a passenger boat, not a ferry) is the Vevey that sails on Lake Geneva. The flags of Switzerland and France on either end of the boat confirm that we are on this lake which is boarded by both countries.
Edit: Thanks for the correction! It must be very pleasant to awake in the morning to the sound of the horns of the passing boats!

Hi Wilson,
really not to bad scanning quality, but who cares about such a detail seeing such a funny and well composed scene. I like to see the detail of the french flag on the front and the swiss on the back of the ship. That embodies a lot of the swiss spirit. I cannot vision the same here in the US with a ship having the canadian or the mexican flag joining the star & stripes.

Hello again, Wilson!
Quite unusual and original 'natural' framing
for this boat (never seen anyone using it
before!).
Love to see that patch of green grass being in
harmony with red tent, and the boat on the lake.
Simple, but eye-catching!
Good work!

Try as I might to avoid heaping further praise on your most popular photo - I just couldn't help myself - it's really good, and the odd thing is, it really doesn't come across as a "camping" shot. Somehow that light coming through the red material, and the grandeur of the passing boat, make me think that this must be some grand marquee filled with proncess and princesses sipping chamgpagne and nibbling cavier on the watery banks of their very own kingdom.
