Autumnal vineyards Photo

Photographer’s Note

Located on the hills south west from the main city Bolzano, the village of Montiggl is laying in the center of the biggest wine production area of whole South Tyrol. Vineyards are planted all over the mild slopes surrounding the village and they produce a typical wine, which is actually planted only in South Tyrol: the Lagrein wine.
The mix woodland around the village with its two lakes is ideal for relaxing. There is something for everyone. The Spring Valley with its masses of snowdrops, the innumerable paths for walking and of course the lakes. An ideal place to recharge your batteries

Hi Samuele,
The lingering hues and tones of autumn are well seen here, and indeed it appears to be a relaxing, tranquil spot to visit. I like how you have captured the gently sloping hillside here, culminating in the fine home at the top of the field. The woods in the distance have a special allure, with a dreamy sky overhead. Intense and vivid colors with the blue sky contrasting strongly with the vinyards and trees in BG... good POV and compo with the house well placed in the frame.. Sharp details.

Hi Samuele,

Great colors and note but I don't like the front of the picture. Its not very interesting. If you cropped out the bottom 1/3 of the picture than it would be more pleasing, I think. TFS, Gilbert

Hello Sam -

A well seen autumnal image - I can feel the nip in the air. The late afternoon light just makes the vineyard and the distant trees radiate color. Exposure is spot on as is the DOF and sharpness. The house/villa was a nice addition to the image. Well seen and well done!

Hi Sam,

Good morning!
I liked the contrast between the sky and autumnal colors :) In my country the leaves are picked before autumn to make delicious "sarma" :) may be you know it. :)

Very nice automnal colors which looks to me more to Switzerland than Italy ! the tones are really and the deep blue sky contrasts well with the rest. Just a lack of sharpness which you may have increased ?

I like here the saturated colors obtained. The place is rich in colors. I like the house in the top of the hill, it seem there have a great view of this petty valey.

Splendid point of view on the property and this vine with the autumnal colors. The balance of the image is perfect, it is very pleasant. Very good management of the light which gives much relief to the landscape. The blue sky is superb and gives a pretty contrast. Cheer.

Très beau retour en automne avec ces vignes rouillées. La composition est simple mais efficace avec une image partagée entre ciel et terre par une diagonale. Les couleurs sont saturées à point comme sur tes précédentes.
