Photographer’s Note

Located among the hills surrounding Bolzano, the two Montiggl lakes are surrounded by large woods at about 500 meters above the sea level.
The big lake, pictured here, has a 439 qm surface and is about 700 meters long, with a maximum depth of 13 meters.
The lake is a natural reserve, as several kind of birds and wild ducks use to nest in this area. It is possible to take a relaxing walk along the shores of the lake and enjoy the beauty of nature and the solitude of this place, with its wonderful silence.

Hi Samuele!
I see you had a mild winter in Italy too.The colors of the forest are great and look more like september than november.Good composition with the cut trunks in the foreground.I can realy imagine the silence of this nice place.

Beautiful compo, superb colors and autumn light. Excellent POV. I like the clear water, which lets you to see the water-plants. Very nice photo and atmosphere.

The warm, clean autumn light together with the wonderful autumn colours really gives this shot its appeal. The dof is good too, with everything sharply in focus. The foreground stick and lilies add some nice interest too.

Hi Sam,
very well captured shot in a well chosen vertical format. You framed it very nicely with the pole in fg., anchoring the scenery with it. Good light control and also nice autumnal colours here.

A well presented autumnal landscape composition, with thar stick providing a strong starting point of course great colors, correct sharpness too. Vertical framing working well nice water texture.

I like very much the format of the photograph which develops the landscape. The balance of the image is perfect and I find that there is much relief. The colors autumnal are fabulous and well clarified. A landscape very pleasant and resting, cheer.

Well composed with the lily pads combining with the pole to create an interesting foreground, with the stunning background of autumn trees. The blue sky provides superb contrast and this has a fresh crisp look, perhaps denoting the purity of the air and the absolute tranquillity. Well captured.

It's a wonderful point of view and perfect depth and perspective picture, the colours of the forest are great and look more like september than november, but in Italy remain the colour much longer than in Belgium, very well done!
