What a lovely shot! I would have guessed it was Finland rather than Luxembourg! :D
Ah, all the wonderful spots we miss when living in a country!
You did well to go out for a walk with this gorgeous weather! YOu have managed to bring back a true classic, with high grass, smooth water and that trail in the sky. A quiet Sunday in Luxembourg, just as it ought to be. There is really not much to say besides for it's simplicity and quietude, which are truly charming. Perhaps the shadow on the left in the grass comes to make it a bit darker than necessary, pulling the eye into a little struggle between the two high grasses on both sides. It might have been interesting to have a vertical sight of the overall as well, a bit more concentrated on the opening and on that strange flat thing in the water... a few steps to the right and a vertical sight with enough sky might have been something worth considering as well :D
Would be interesting to see what the picture was like in colour.

Bonjour Mike,

je viens également de passer quelques heures dans la zone naturelle dimanche passé et j'ai pris des photos en couleurs analoque à la tienne.Je doit tout de même dire que ton idée pour le N+B est très bonne.Le N+B crèe beaucoup plus d'ambiance.Beau travail.

Interesting to see Mike that you made a choice for bw of this fine lake landscape. The low pov is a good choice combined with use of the foreground vegetation. Also interesting patterns of the background clouded sky. A fine bw landscape shot.
(..btw. to bad we didn't see you when doing the WS in Lux. last weekend)

Hi Mike,

What a beautiful and well compoesed landscape shot with such a calm atmosphere to it. Only one thing - I don't understand why you would choose to convert it to black and white - I can imagine that it must have looked even more beautiful in colour?

Hi Mike,
I have to say that I prefer the black and white version (although the colour is lovely too), but then I have always been a fan of black and white. Your shot is beautiful, all the wonderful textures of the grass and the water. The sky is nice and dramatic and your composition and view through the grass is wonderful.

Impressionnant comme endroit.Ta composition est superbe.prise dans cette trouée,avec toutes ces lignes nuageueuses qui s'éloignent dans le sens du regard,vers l'autre trouée,entre les deux montagnes.
Le noir et blanc donne une ambiance agréable.
