Photographer’s Note
Thanks to two workshops, I did some editing using the magical adobe! and decided to share it again.
This picture was taken in the old town area of Damascus. Families inherit shops and continue the work tradition of their fathers in many cases.
Damascus: The oldest contiuously inhabited city in the world. Beneath the current city, Damascus, it is believed several cities are buried. The name Damascus is latin, adapted from Greek, and is aramaic in root דרמשק.
Noteworthy, the western aramaic langauge, the closest to the language of the bible, continued to exist within the eastern mediterannean (Syria, Lebanon and Palestine) until approximately mid 1800s. Currently, only one city called "Maloula", located 30 min. by car north of Damascus, continues to speak it.

Bonjour
Nice image and natural catch
If I compare with the original version..I do not which one to choose...May be this one is little too sharp...and lost some of his natural atmosphere...It is difficult to comment and make opinion from a PC screen...
BUT...You have a nice eye..
Thank you

Hello Amin,
Wonderful shot of a slice of everyday life in Damascus. Nicely composed and exposed.
Amin, if you will drop a note with your postal address to me at my university address, batalay@umw.edu, I'll be happy to send you a signed bookmark, especially made for the book.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello amin,
I like very much to see these handicraftsmen in their small workshop. It is as in France in past.
