Photographer’s Note
Taken at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh. Many people have posted photos from here. It is a haunting place. It was a school turned into an internment camp where they imprisoned, interrogated, and tortured civilians thought to be against the regime.
I was exploring the grounds when I took a wrong turn and ended up at the end of the hallway looking in. There was a locked iron gate barring my way. Those are the cells on the left (what used to be classrooms). This photo just tries to capture the feeling of being trapped. Luckily for me, I could re-trace my steps and be back in the main area. The inmates here weren't that lucky.
The mood here is one of a kind, if you've been here you understand. If you haven't, please visit.

The lines are very straight, normally I see distortion when taking this so close. A sad, disturb place, Phnom Penh's history very tragic as you bring back memories to this picture.

A sad place, but a very good pic, David! Great B&W resolution and graphical effect here! Well done! TFS! Best regards! Miguel.

This photo is very interesting. I think that the black and white helps contribute to the contrast and makes this a very clean image.
