Hello Tina,

This is wonderful portrait of the lovely Danish girl — well composed, colorful and sharp. You've captured your subject's soul. Technically you have also achieved an interesting effect — either intuitively, or on conscious, in shooting the photo (or perhaps in cropping in) it, you've managed to place your subject's left eye (on the right) very close to an imaginary vertical line that passes through middle of the frame).

In a book I wrote about integrating art and science, 'Math and the Mona Lisa,' I discussed among a myriad topics a discovery made in 1998 by the English pyschologist, Christopher Tyler, who lives in San Francisco — that in almost all great portraits by the masters -- Leonardo, Rembrandt, even Picasso — it is seen that the artist has focused on one eye (not the nose). In almost all cases, this is intuitive. (In Leonardo, it might be different. He knew more than the normal genius.) Later in a conference I chaired in Seoul, Korea, I had Dr. Tyler serve as one of the speakers, in order to learn more about the discovery that made the front page of the New York Times.

Superb portrait of the Danish beauty. What compelling eyes! if you get a chance take a look at Eyes, where I consciously placed an eye on the vertical bisecting line.

Very nice portrait: nice composition, perfect background and the eyes are of course very very beautiful. Probably a bit too much contrast in the highlights of the face (around the girl's nose)

I wonder if she knows how beautiful are her eyes!!!So blue,almost unreal!A little bit melancholic her look,but maybe this makes her more fascinating!Anyway again you've captured a perfect portrait,excellent expression,Tina

Hi Tina,
There are not many European portraits on TE, at least compared to the abundance of budhist monks ;-) I like on yours the overall relative darkness that allows the ray of light on the visage to make it shine, and her blue eyes are superb.
Last but not least: even though I was not personally involved, thank you very much for the help you have offered to our friends having trouble with this web site.

Hello Tina,
First time I am going through your gallery... you have superb portraits... I am jaleous!! I love your attention to the framing and light capture... I believe you treat your picture afterward and you definitely know how to! I am myself struggling to find the right adjustment on Photoshop to achieve such results. I getting into it more and more. ;)

Impressive work, most flattering Tina. I like how you disposed the compo and placed the woman offcentered in the compo. A bit too much light in the face, and I think I'd wanted to see some more of her right chin. Still beside of that her pose and incredible blue eyes keeps the interest to the presented photo.
