Photographer's Note
In 1859, the many Orthodox Russians living in Geneva were given permission to build their church as well as obtaining the financial aid of Grand Duchess Anna Feodorovna Constancia, sister-in-law of Tsar Alexander 1st and aunt of Queen Victoria and Prince Consort Albert. She had lived in Geneva for many years.
The site granted was that of an ancient Benedictine priory, destroyed in the 16th century. Construction lasted three years and in 1866, resulted in a pure masterpiece in the Byzantine Muscovite style.
The superb gilded cupolas, restored in 1966,
constitute a brilliant, glittering landmark.
A visit to the interior is a must, both for its admirable decor and the numerous icons of the 16th to 20th centuries.
Location: Rue Toepffer

I have seen many arcitecture shots but none as inventive as this one. its not just photography, its photography with a great idea that has been executed well. The colours and textures are great and overall composition is superb. nice job done.

Ciao Stefano, bella foto sperimentale, con il riflesso sull'auto con colori e dettagli precisi e ben "deformati" dalla curvatura del vetro.
ottima nota.

I just love this POV ... a refreshing composition. I consider this quite an imaginative shot. Sharpness and color quality are both high standard. Excellent! TFS

Una bella luce e un bel riflesso, il ghiaccio sul tergicristallo è bello e aumenta il fascino della foto, complimenti.

Hi Stefano,
Maybe the clearest reflection on your car series. The gold plated domes look like new and are well exposed. Snow is an nice extra detail.

Hi Stefano,
Unusual view to this church, with very bright colours and nice contrast between the deep blue sky and gold shining towers.
I guess due to this strange angle, tops of four towers look like human faces with golden hats :)

Hej Stefano,
Very well seen and captured! The reflection is beautiful and I really like the distortion of it. The colours of the church create also a wonderful contrast with the blue window. The snow is a nice bonus. Very well done and thanks for sharing!

Stefano, ciao! I immediately recognized this lovely Orthodox church, from the little time i spent in Geneva very close to it! I could see it on my morning walks and always admired its golden onion cupolas. I love the way you capture it here, as a reflection, with the snow and blue sky... lovely colours, nice reflection, inventive capture!
Take care

Privet Stefano ,
That's a creative way to present this nice church that must look a bit unusual in the Geneva surroundings, I like how it glows contrasting to the relative darkess in the rest of the frame.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves
