Hi Pinakie,
I saw the Title and your Note of this snap when you posted it yesterday.I thought that it was too political and too controvarsial topic for TE and it also conveys a wrong message to the members of the outer India.I am happy now that you have removed both the Title and the Note that you had previously from this snap.If you have any political issues to protest,I feel TE is not the place.
Anyway,as far as the snap is concerned I think a Birds-Eye view could have been much better than this POV.
Greetings,
Dhurjati

Hi pinaki,
I like the way you framed this little village against the green fields with the grass in the foreground. I did think a little more contrast would enhance your picture so I did a WS.
The greeness of this rural setting makes one believe that at least the people here can eat as long as there is water. And the somewhat primative houses are several steps above the shacks on the hillsides surrounding Tiajuana. I disagree with dhurati, the founder of the website, Adam Silverman posted this.. Having said that, since I have a tendancy to protest myself, I've found that most people ignore protest photos as dhurati did until you changed the comment. Even more personally, I've found that I get really angry when I protest and it doesn't seem to change anything anymore. I protested in the 60s and we did believe that we had changed the world; but greed is back in style and George Bush ignores the law and nobody stops him. Uh oh, I'm raving and I've resolved to focus on health, love & joy this year. HLJ, Pat

Hi Pinakie, aparentelly I lost the oppotunity to learn about the political issues linked to this post, but through the differetn critiques I see that I'm missing something meaningful. Does it hae anything to do with your next post?
Anyway, your post seems to show a bucolic plac, although it looks abandoned and that is probably my only critique here. I would like to see people in this shot.

Hello Pinakie,
Thanks for looking at my picture of Sangla Valley and writing your critique.
I apologise for not being much active on TE and responding on time with a return visit to your gallery.
I love the ambience of this village in the hills of West Bengal. It looks so peaceful and refreshingly green. I too come from the hills of Himachal Pradesh.
Best regards,
Ram

Dear Pinakie. Good high POV looking down onto this small hill village. This is what TE is all about to me seeing how others live their lives in a fast changing world. Similar to the vilages in some other countries. No doubt sattelite TV aeriels will be seen here before too long. TFS. Murray.

hi pinakie,
very well composed with the right amount of light.
i see some vegeations that are familiar- ricefield , bananas, bamboos, etc which are common in asian villages. now, this foto reminds me of rural home philippines as well.
