Photographer’s Note
A little overexposed but I kind of like it. This is a girl selling toys at the temple complex of Ta Prohm at Angkor.

I don't know why but I kind of like an overexposed background on a black and white portrait. I think it focuses the attention on the subject. I tried one once but received bad reviews on it.
Anyway, I like this one and I assume it! hihihi

Hi John,
The overexposed background makes sense in the b&w portrait. Sometimes rules are to be kept aside for someone else to follow, in photography you follow your heart's aesthetics.

I strongly agree with the other two posts. Your portrait is a good one. Everything that you need to see, that needs to be seen, is right there. Good Job!

Hi John,
You've got some wonderful photos in your collection, and many of them have an undeserved lack of points in my opinion. ;)
Really like this one, and agree with the other critiques, the background is overexposed but the subject, especially the face, is exposed wonderfully and, as mentioned, it's easier to get away with a little over-exposure in B&W. Good angle and composition, great photo, well done!

J`aime beaucoup votre photo, l`expression du visage de la fillette est bien emouvante !
Amicalement,

A nice POV. What beautiful eyes, such a sweet little girl. I like this is b&w. It's always nice to come back and visit your gallery. TFS
