All that's missing is a stooped, elderly figure struggling up the hill.
I like the compression of perspective here, with the bends in the pathway seeming a lot closer together than they probably were in reality. Your blackand white conversion is also very good.
A good simple image, I like it.

I like it. The POV of the passage attracts and forces the eye to search for....what comes next.
