Photographer’s Note

I never a miss an occasion to visit MOMA every time I come to New York, and although I stayed only 3 days this time was no exception. There are always new exhibitions to be seen and perspectives that wait to be discovered by photographers. I liked this hall where a CALDER mobile was hung and silhouetted visitors could be caught on the stairs. Completely desaturated except the Calder.

Very successful minimalist photograph. I love the symmetry and the touch of red colour in an otherwise almost black and white photograph. Very classy feel.

Izzet, not a lot of things going on here. At least that is the first impression and gives justice to your title of minimalistic. However the composition is perfect with well placed and balanced elements. The only colored elements are exactly were it should be in this compo and enhances the contrast to the otherwise monochromatic impressions.

There is a stark and simplistic beauty in this one Izzet - nicely framed for effect and a good use of partial de-saturation - very subtle really ....and beautifully toned.

Olá Izzet, these graphic images are the ones I like more from you. Good use of the low POV to take advantage of the bright surface of the ground. So simple and with a beautiful lighting. The delicate thin lines are so gracious and the it's also great that lonely human element and his reflection.

Le contraste est fort et le jeu des lignes est très attractif, la touche de "rouge" est la cerise sur le ... :o)

Hi Izzet,
I was just here this past weekend, and boy was it interesting. I tried to take a similar shot of the mobile, but with the bright light it was too washed out. I love the sillouette. Desaturation except the Calder is a great idea. I like how low you took the shot too. The MOMA is an awesome place.

I love this picture "jinjuesque". Perhaps will a tighter crop would that picture have been even more effective.
