Photographer’s Note

A photo taken in Phsar Chas or the Old Market area of Siem Reap. I have always been fascinated by foreign markets since my wanderings in the Souq's of Marrakesh and Fes. A very busy photo with everything from toilet paper, diapers & cigarettes to chili peppers, pineapples & cabbage. I think it gives a good feeling of the "clutter" of the usual world market with it's own Cambodian feel.

Hi John,
What a nice image! It is a great daily life photo with lots of interesting things to look at! The top left corner seems a bit over-exposed, but I really like the picture and its "busy" feel.

Excellent. This is the type of market we do not find anymore in our western society. They are really beautiful and colouful. Well done.

that's an excellent daily life scene. Love how the woman's surrounded by masses of produce and colours. there's also a nice bit of lighting on the face, and I like her expression too. Great shot!

Hi John,
The girl looks really bored. It's an interesting combination with the really busy environment and her empty stare... Maybe the picture would benefit from a bit more punchy colors.

Magnifique photo pleine de couleurs et bonne composition avec cette charmante jeune fille. On y trouve à peu près tout dans ce marché comme je peux voir. Une autre belle photo parmis tant d'autres de ta galerie.
