Photographer’s Note

This is a photo of the Corniche in Doha, Qatar. I am surprised by the lack of photos of this beautiful area in Doha (though there aren't so many photos of Qatar). This is a beautiful place to walk as the sea is gorgeous with great colours. Not exactly sure what the round thing is jutting out of the water, but it made for a good photo. It was becoming quite hazy with the strong sun (plus being surrounded by desert) so shooting conditions weren't ideal, though I like the atmosphere it created.

Qatar is very laid back, with friendly people. It has some old traditions, but large hotels are springing up all over Doha (the skyline in the background). I liked the two people hiding behind the wall looking into the sea. I tried to capture this calm mood in this photo.

Great composition. Nice and simple with the city in the background. Really good pastel colors also. The horizon being really close to the middle of the photo works really well also. I'm just thinking of how many people will think it's crap because you broke the rule of thirds.

There are really not many photos of any country on the arabian peninsula. It's really ashame because, in my opinion, it is one of the most interesting travel destinations in the world.

I like the shot most for it's hazy horizon, we see the city, but effectively, through a haze that is probably so common in this hot part of the world.

Beautiful capture David. I like thie misty feeling in the brackground with the hint of the busy city behind against the calmness of the foreground. I really love the pastelly blues as well.

I have seen a couple of image from Qatar from a business friend. I didn't find it very interesting, mostly of large building and new structures being build in Doha. This one is beautiful, love the teal water and the texture of the ripple and wave. Beautiful composition with the city skyline faintly in the distant. That must be all those image I see from my friend. This is really nice. Thanks David.
