Photographer’s Note

A beautiful day last September which was so hot it was like an 'Indian Summer'. As you can see by the shot it was also harvest time and so the hot, dry weather is welcome.

Hello Jean,
Like the low viewpoint here which makes the most of the beautiful sky. The hay bundles and trees taken on the diagonal make for a nice long perspective. Very good tones. Still a little unsharp to my eyes. You would have been better off here going for a much smaller exposure, say f16 or f22. It looks bright enough to have managed without a tripod and would have a resulted in a nice sharp image from back to front.

Stunning view well captured.
The colours and light are brilliant.
I agree about the sharpness and experimenting with settings may begin to give you crisper results.
That aside, your photos give a great understanding of your region

Hello Jean,

What beautiful colours in the huge sky. It contrasts so well with that of the stubble and straw bales. You did well to make it the major part of the picture.

My only niggle is that the line of the cloud base, and that of the distant hills suggest a bit of camera tilt.

I've tried a WS.

Hi Jean,

Wonderful shot.
The sky is just gorgeous and the whole picture is very pleasent to look at. The light is just right here.
The workshop addresses something about the horizon, which on first hand goes unnoticed. So nothing more to add to that.
