Photographer’s Note
Another image i took to Barcelona few days ago..
We have stopped ourselves in a sandwich-bar in order to eat something, and we seated close this woman...
She was really busy...to perhaps read something..the menu i think..
The thing that it has hit to me is that the woman had constructed a bunker in her table..
Probably she loves a lot the privacy also in a public place... :)

Ciao Valushka,
I love your Barcelona!
It could be named "anywhere/anytime café", and this is what makes me feel closer to that city which is actually unfamiliar to me.
Of course the light is the winner, not to mention the lady's highlighted busy gaze, and this is exactly how such a lady would look when she is busy. Pushing her nearly out of the frame is quite daring but created again an excellent feeling of spaciousness of the cafe. The dark orange wall texture looks cosy under the dim lighting, and the green/yellow of the chair looks beautiful in front of the black shiny wooden linings of the wall. Maybe the blurred arch (part of your table?) on the right bottom is a little bit disturbing but it also somehow balances the dark/light toning and fills the emptiness on that area. Very joyful share to look at.
Ciaooo!!! :D

Ciao ottima Valeria!! buona domenica!

As preicted your last shot was BANG! This one maight not get there, its much more subtle a shot. But thats why I prefer it. Its more contemplatibe and I prefer the mood.
12-24 you bought? That wide angle must be great. Ill be fully geared up by the end of summer...2 bodies and no need to change any lenses:)

The lighting is sooo good here, Valeria, and that woman's face protected by the menu is pricelss. A painting, a study in loneliness. Lovely.
Bravo!

Haa, she wanted a privacy, imagine how would she react if she know u've taken a picture of her and even post it, lol:) I find it a comic situation, I love the colors and the lights here.

Wow! Excellent shot! The woman hiding behind the 'bunker' is fantastic, probably because of the lighting. The way you framed this is great too, because of the large space to the right and the cramped space for the woman on the left, really emphasizing how closed in and hidden her world is. Amazing work!

Ciao Valeria... For me, this photo is all about framing. Why? Becuase it´s important to notice how´s the space around her, to understand why is she protecting herself so much, to find out that maybe there were no sense for this wall to be created, althoug I´m a lover of privacy in restaurants, so I can understand her. The light is also fantastic. Take care.

Ciao VAleria,
Hai creato un'atmosfera particolare, luce calda soffusa, il volto di questa signora parzialmente coperto dà un senso di misterioso, mi piace.

A bit of a different shot from yourself Val, and one I like. She is hidden away well enough to showing her want for a bit of privacy, but at the same time showing enough of her as the prime focus of our attention. Nice moody lighting as well.

Ciao Valeria,
I like how you captured the shadows and lights in this one.
Light on her face is spot on, and nicely enhanced by the darker parts of the image.

JB.

Fabulous light Valeria - and the composition is terrific. I love the way you have isolated her in the corner of the frame. The touch of blue reflected on the wall adds another nice touch when contrasted against the other darker tones. A very pleasing contrast to some of your other postings. Best regards, Roberto

Very atractive image, Valeria! So well built by you, efficient framing leading the eye to the left; pretty tones, even some greenish ones; and the expression of the lady definitely appropriate for the situation, overall giving us a mysterious feeling. Bravo and TFS! Daniel
