A peaceful moment on Rattlesnake Ledge.

Rattlesnake Ledge can be reached from a four mile roundtrip hike starting from Rattlesnake Lake. The hike is nice and goes through thick forest until reaching the top. The top is very peaceful, and the view is amazing.

Hi Matthew,
Your pov is excellent, a great composition in strong dynamic colours. Including a person is good for scaling and the vertical composition works great. The depth is enormous and that's what's counts at landscape photography.
The only thing that's not good are the overexposed clouds at the top, they are totaly washed out. This can only be corrected if you shoot in raw next time so you have total control over the exposure when converting from raw to tif and then to jpg.
Nevertheless a strong photo...

Very beautiful scene! The view is awesome. I really like how you have included the person to show scale and the steepness and height of the ledge. The colours and depth are lovely. My only nit is the overexposure in the clouds. Apart from that it is a well composed and framed photo! Good job!

It's amazing the shot. The compo is very, very good. The depth is marvellous, and the sky emphasizes very well the magnitude of this landscape. I agree absolutely with Floydian about the clouds, and too about his opinion about RAW and its possibilities. Anyway, I think is a beautiful and great shot, that show you has a good photographer eye!
