Photographer’s Note
The Sungai Tua recreation park is located at Ulu Yam forest reserved. During the weekend (when it is time to relax and family outings) this recreation park will be a suitable place as it is around 20 minutes away from another famous tourist attraction Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur.
Here the Malaysia Goverment has put up a lot of effort to ensure the facilities provided to the visitor is sufficient and well maintained.
I got this shot showing the fast flowing icy cold water & playful children at the river. It is also a very relaxing place away from stress and work.
Please leave your comment over the effectiveness on the technique in this picture.
Thanks

Hi Adam,
A wonderful and interesting photo with great potential. Looking at the rocks i can easily say that you have no problem with sharpness, but f/22 is too much i guess. Maybe you could have used f/7.1 or something wider in order to decrease the exposure time, resulting in less blur of the bathing figures. Then the photo would be perfect. Anyway, i love the concept. Congrats,
Deniz

Hi Adam,
I am not sure whether you really needed this type of technique, but I like it nonetheless. The colour of the water is quite beautiful, as is the backdrop.
The thumbnail, unfortunately does not give much away, but it is a really pleasant surprise when opened up fully...
The people are a lovely addition...especially because it seems like a family spending important time together. Its a really nice image...

Hi Adam,
Have to agree with Deniz about long exposure & how it captures movement blur. But then I know how much you love soft silky water. The small aperture opening really gives excellent overall sharpness. Do you have another shot with faster shutter speed at wider aperture? I'm curious to see the freezing action on the water & the kids at play. I usually freeze falling or running water. That's because I'm too lazy to carry & use a tripod. Anyway, very nice colors & perfect saturation. Regards. Latiff.

HI Adam,
I think the best way to achieve alternative great shot is to leave out the presence of the people there and focus on the water flow and tree... my idea. I see that you set the F value to 2 second to get the motion of the water moving. That is great. Or in photoshop you can try saturating the picture so that it will look more greeny and natural.
