ma contribution aux nombreuses photos de tournesols.

Le pétrole souille nos plages et tue nos oiseaux.
En Irak, 1 enfant de moins de 5 ans meurt toutes les 8 minutes.
Des enfants meurent partout dans le monde à cause des conflits générés par la convoitise des ressources pétrolières.
Nos vaches sont devenues folles...

Pourtant il existe un moyen de commencer aujourd'hui à résoudre ces problèmes : l'huile de tournesol.

The glorious yellow catches the eye immediately. Great use of DOF and composition of the side view. The pattern on the green part together with the excellent contrast is a good feature of the image.

Perfect setting for these sunflowers didier. Good use of sharpness in the first one and the dof for the nackground. The dark cloud seems perfect here.

Ce nuage sombre est en accord parfait avec l'orientation du tournesol,on dirait qu'il se cache pour montrer qu'il veut regarder le soleil.Une belle réalisation qui claque.

Great photo of this sunflower in the fading sun. The clouds are quite interesting with the bit of blue sky poking through. We shall see how sunflower oil develops, but we all know we're going to have to figure something out.

Interesting shot! The sunflowers are so bright, while the background is so dark, with the result that they stand out incredibly well. I really like the colours of this too, which is the outstanding feature of the shot. Well done!

Avant de lire la note, j'allais te demander si tu travaillais sur une pub pour le tournesol, mais après l'avoir lu j'ai vu que oui, mais pas forcément dans le sens dans lequel je l'entendais.
La photo est superbe, avec ce beau bokeh sur fond de ciel orageux, les couleurs sont très belles et la netteté magnifique.
Une très belle photo et une note à la hauteur!!

Bien vu, un soleil en berne avec ce tournesol touné presque vers le sol et faisant face à cet horizon nuageux, en tout cas le rayon de lumière fait superbement ressortir le jaune.

I would write that i love sunflowers but your note strikes me from the deep. Concerning energy is my job and i'd like to add some info about biomass energy:

Biomass production can be used to burn organic waste products resulting from agriculture. This type of recycling encourages the philosophy that nothing on this Earth should be wasted. The result is less demand on the Earth's resources, and a higher carrying capacity for Earth because non-renewable fossil fuels are not consumed.
Biomass is abundant on Earth and is generally renewable. In theory, we will never run out of organic waste products as fuel, because we are continuously producing them. In addition, biomass is found throughout the world, a fact that should alleviate energy pressures in third world nations.
When methods of biomass production other than direct combustion of plant mass, such as fermentation and pyrolysis, are used, there is little effect on the environment. Alcohols and other fuels produced by these alternative methods are clean burning and are feasible replacements to fossil fuels.
Since CO2 is first taken out of the atmosphere to make the vegetable oil and then put back after it is burned in the engine, there is no net increase in CO2. So vegetable oil does not contribute to the problem of greenhouse gas.
It has a high flash point and is safer than most fuels.
Transitioning to vegetable oil could be relatively easy as biodiesel works where diesel works, and straight vegetable oil takes relatively minor modifications.
The World already produces more than 100 billion gallons a year for food industry, so we have experience making it.
Algaculture has the potential to produce far more vegetable oil per acre than current plants.
Infrastructure for biodiesel around the World is significant and growing.

Salut Didier,

Grâce à ta photo, je viens de découvrir des couleurs que je ne n’avais jamais vu à mon écran auparavant... :-D) Un jaune si intense que je dois cligner des yeux à chaque 10 secondes que je passe à regarder ta photo!

C’est super cette vue rapprochée, avec une répétition de la fleur de tournesol du premier plan, version "bokehfiée"... Une lumière vive qui fait exploser les couleurs, tout en créant des ombres à découper au couteau, le tout sur fond de ciel chargé, ça donne une image percutante.

Un message écologique intéressant et éducatif. Moi je fais déjà ma part en mangeant des graines de tournesol... Est-ce que ça compte? :-p)

J'étais passé à côté de celle-ci. Grâce au temps pourri que nous avons actuellement, tu as réussi à avoir un super éclairage en contraste avec un ciel bien menaçant...et si ça se trouve tes tournesols étaient "tout propre" - il paraît que le beau temps ne va pas tarder à arriver...en tous les cas merci pour tes soleils même s'ils ne sont pas de "là-bas!".

clap clap clap Didier, je vois que tu fais dans la fleur et les champs en ce moment. Celle ci est une pure merveille et confirme le bien que les photographes pensent des tournesols, et a lire ta note pas seulement les photographes.
Bonne DOF, les couleurs sont excellentes et bien contrastées, la netteté sur la fleur est géniale.
Vraiment de la belle photo, ah la la s'il n'y avait que des photos de cette qualité sur TE.

Que rajouter de plus apres plus de 60 commentaire! Difficile, mais je ne pouvais decemment passer par la sans laisser ma modeste contribution au succes de cette superbe image. Merci pour la note ecolo (c'est plus que de rigueur avec les temps qui courent). Par contre, je ne suis pas sur que le tournesol soit la meilleure solution pour le biocarburant (trop couteux et polluant a produire pour un rendement assez limite, au final).
Dans tous les cas, mercui du partage pour cette superbe contribution!

Hi Didier, this is such a gentle & subtle image. The highlight to me is the way the (morning?) sun catches the flower petals, and then also the contrast between flower and ominous sky. A really pleasing composition. Well done!

Different de la majorite des autres photos de tournesols.The light is not as dazzling and the flower is not as bright, but there is a different richness here in the more earthy tones, the darker shadows and in the strong yellow.
