On Way to Leh-7
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
This is the 7th picture, taken at one of my favourite spots enroute' Leh.
After crossing Baralaca Pass at aproox. 4800-4900 meters while climbing down....the rad is exceptionally good......ratgher its too good to be believed in such an area.....and hen suddenly you see this breathtaking sight....a beautiful lake adjacent to the road....though not on he same level as roa bu approx. 2000 feet below the road level.
This lake is known as Suraj Taal (Lake of Sun) also known as Vishal Taal (Big Lake). It gets frzen during the winters. On a sunny day....as was lucky to get sun on that day....the water looks perfect blue. It is surrounded by baren hiils covered lightl with snow due to summer.
Please visit it to believe it.
I have posted another view of the lake in the workshop. |

Hi Hemant.
From my POV, only needs a boat/ship in the water and to be removed the left-bottom corner with photoshop.
Anyway, the view is lovely.I like it.

Wonderful picture and great collections of pictures enroute Leh.
I've been in India one month ago, but I didn't go to the mountains in the North. Maybe next time (for sure I'll return to your incredible country).
Brilliant colours and great sharpness. I'm amazed with the colours of yours skies. Do you use any polaryzer?
Best regards
The lake looks a lot closer than 2000! The weather must have been crisp. This Leh place must be wonderful. The imbalance of foreground vs. background mountains create an interesting POV that's a little disorienting and interesting in a way. Great shot.
