Well, i also want a house in that region.
No need to have a medieval one, 16th century would also do.
Wide angle deformation is good, figures settle at a nice place (both for the compo and also for their own enjoyment)
Sky is the winner, and the light oozing from that dark clouds...

You have taken good advantage of the wide-angle view to include the two in the picture. Composition and color palette are excellent, and the clouds add dynamism. Only nitpick would be the distortion visible on the castle's towers but that's part of the package. Regards,

Waw....what a shot this is!!Gorgeous,sweet and beautiful.Fantastic angle and POV is top class.Cant think of anything better here.Those couples perfectly placed at the side, the silhoutte of the building at the forefront, and beautiful sky with contrasting greenery in the field....what else is needed!!A place to fall in love it seems.Adding to my favourite list....

C'est bien romantique tout ça!et puis ce ciel finalement il nous colle une ambiance drame Shaskespirien que j'aime bien...je vais jeter un oeil dans mon fichier pour voir si ma version est exploitable...pour plus tard là je suis plutot "busy" et ce week end je vais a un festival pas trop loin (Angouleme)
Ton ciel a une super texture avec des hautes lumieres bien contenue,y'a pas a dire le GA ça a du bon!

Bravo pour l'idée ! J'aime beaucoup la déformation du chateau due à ton grand angle ! Cela me fait penser au film "Les Visiteurs" lorsque le chateau bouge dans tout les sens ! Bien vu !

Jean you are convincing me that I need to buy this wide angle 10-22 lens today!!!

I love the wide reach aspect including the couple sitting on the stone wall. I am almost convinced that the wide angle 10-22 has stretched the clouds into a radiating shape as if they are emanating from the castle. At any rate very effectively done!

Cette photo me rend perplexe sur mon propre compte! Je ne pouvais me l'imaginer, je ne le croyais pas, mais il semble qu'il reste quelques morceaux de mon enfance qui traînent encore ça et là, des histoires de châteaux et de donjons, de femme en robe blanche à volants et de prince charmant attentif à mes moindres besoins! Et voilà que cette image vient réveiller un vieux restant de romantisme dans mon âme endurcie au contact de la réalité! Bon, peut-être que dans mon imaginaire, il faisait soleil, mais j'avoue que mon oeil d'aujourd'hui préfère nettement les nuages au ciel trop bleu des contes de fées. :)
Cet instant de lyrisme passé, j'aime bien le côté histoire qu'ajoute la présence de tes deux personnages. Le grand angle fait très bien son oeuvre ici. J'aurais peut-être dessaturé la robe de la dame, histoire de redonner toute sa blancheur à cette princesse.
Merci de m'avoir fait rêver le temps d'une photo!

superbe utilisation du grand angle pour accentuer la profondeur de la photo. Le ciel est superbe et on peut même penser qu'avec un ciel grand bleu, la photo n'aurait pas eu cette force. Beau travail.

Simply beautiful & dynamic. I can feel the clouds moving over the stillness of the scene below. The curvature of the the ground under the castle seemed to bring the castle forward in proximity to the couple & viewer. Wonderful composition & lens effect. Regards. Latiff.

Très bon profit du grand-angle. C'est parfaite l'inclusion de cette couple, qui ouvre la ligne qui nous guide vers le château. Le ciel accompagne très bien le mouvement qu'il y a dans l'image, et le château est très bien rendu!. Magnifique!

Great use of the wide angle in this, to show the couple facing the chateau, with each taking one side of the frame and balancing the other. The sky is maybe the most interesting part of this, with some nice clouds radiating out from the centre and really adding some drama to the scene. Great work!

The scene could be out of a movie, as the couple seem to be from another century and very much engrossed in one another. I like the POV from this low angle, with the clouds menacing but dynamic and the little castle appearing almost like some child's toy. Very fine work.

Il y a quelque chose d’irrésistible entre un ciel chargé et un château, comme une combinaison naturelle.

Juste à voir comment tu es venu placer parfaitement le muret dans le coin gauche inférieur, nul doute que tu as soigneusement composer cette scène, avant que le ciel ne te tombe sur la tête. Plus je vois l’utilisation que tu fais du grand angle (de même que dame Bibi), plus je m’aperçois à quel point je l’ai négligé au fond de mon backpack... J’adore ce rendu presque distortionné qui dramatise l’ensemble de la scène, y compris ces nuages fuyants.

Les nuages sont d'un dynamisme que j'apprécie.

Well, this certainly is a fortress, Jean Ives, it looks serious and impregnable. yes, it looks totally medieavl, except fot the lower, wider windows. Someone, certainly wanted to give a sense of power at that time. Actually , the menacing sky, fits the scene perfectly and teh prespective of the clouds , sweeping down to the fortress gives it a great sense of drama. The lovers to the left do lighten the scene nicely. regards kevin

Jean Yves, apart from the composition it is the flat light and the wonderful handling of the clouds exposure that makes this special. Very eye catching. Don't know if you have used any hdr but if you have it isn't obvious.

Cette photo est intéressante à plus d'un titre: D'abord ce ciel extraordinaire qui semble vouloir aspirer le château, les deux personnages vraiment idéalement placés dans le coin droit de l'image et en plus assis sur la belle diagonale fuyante du muret, et la très belle lumière qui éclaire le tout. Ayant utilisé un super grand angle, je suppose que tu as du redresser les perspectives du château, aurais-tu utilisé shiftN? Excellente image qui montre une grande maitrise de la composition, mais venant de toi ce n'est pas étonnant.

Bravo avec cet effet grand angle tu valorises le château et donne de l'originalté avec ce couple qui reste discret, la direction des nuages donnent de l'ampleur à la vue, on avait bien vu sur place l'intérêt de la scène mais je n'ai pas réussi une telle prise, félicitation, c'est excellent !
