Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken in Verzasca Valley in canton Ticino, southern Switzerland. It shows huge boulders in the upper reaches of Verzasca river, about 20 kilometres north-eastern of Locarno. It's more than refreshing to have a bath here in summer - but Verzasca is a very dangerous stream because of the many eddies and cataracts. This mountain torrent also is very popular to divers. In the whole valley there are big instruction plates with the inscription "So beautiful - but so dangerous!" In the last years there have been a lot of fatal accidents here.
In summer when temperature here comes up to 30°C and more it's very tempting ...

Uupps, da wir einem ja schwindelig. Mir gefällt die smararagdgrüne Farbe des Wasser sehr gut und man kann durch die kleinen Wellen die Bewegung erahnen. Tolle Aufnahme.

Hello Frank,
This picture a little reminds me the river Dunajec most beautiful wrigglying by hills Pieniny in Poland. There also one can observe so great pebbles. There also water is very much cold even into greatest torrid heats. Myself I had opportunities myself about this to convince. Very nicely shown proportions of these huge stones, Beauties, the green water in fact in the incessant rotary motion. Nice photo, good colours and quality.

Frank, c'est un POV extraordinaire pour cette photo qui nous montre ce couple sur ce rocher. J'aime la couleur de l'eau et la texture de la roche.

Bonjour Frank.

Jolie vue plongeante sur ces baigneurs, que dire de cette eau turquoise, et la roche sédimentaire, j'adore, les couleurs sont super belles.
Comme il fait très chaud au Québec (30*) l'eau de ce torrent serait bienvenu pour la plupart de gens d'ici!

schöne Zweisamkeit und das Grau und Grün ist eine meiner Lieblingsfarbgebungen. Gute Aufteilung der Farben für eine dynamische Komposition.

Bonjour Frank,
une photo qui donne un peu le vertige.
Le POV permet de bien voir l'endroit choisi par ce couple pour trouver un semblant de tranquilité.
Un très beau coin dans l'eau et le roc.

Sehr schoene bild, Frank, mit suggestiver Bildausschnitt, vergleichbar mit meine Via Mala Aufnahme, aber jedenfalls so etwas habe ich niemals nie gesehen.
