The picture is a Kuzu-Mochi (bean-jam ball with a covering of kudzu starch). This cake coats bean jam with starch removed from the root of the plant called Kuzu.

Kuzu is an excellent article for sale of South Nara.
It can be used as Chinese medicine besides.
This cake is a cake of the summer to feel the cool.
