Photographer’s Note

Stavronikita Monastery, the smallest on Athos, was built ca. 1000 AD, perhaps by a man called Nikitas the squint-eyed (stravos in Greek). After 1200 AD it was dispeopled and a dependency of other Monasteries. It was rebuilt and enlarged in 1540 by the Patriarch of Constantinople Jeremiah 1st. In 1546 its church and refectory were decorated by the famous painter Theophanes the Cretan. From 1968 till 2005 it was totally restored.
Here a shot of its southern wing in 1989.
Scanned from a slide film on a flatbed scanner and processed in Photoshop and Neat Image. The film is grainy. (I couldn't reduce grain [noise] any more.)

This one is also a lovely place.
You possess a keen eye, Theo, bravo.
Don't worry about grainy effect, it's sth minor and it deals with the purely technical side of the photo. You'll avoid this by finding again this place and shooting it with your digital camera.Is the rainbow your idea or it was there? Your sign or the sign of God so to say?
Keep up that way. Your friends must be happy to have such talent among them.

Kalimera Theologe, good shot with nice composition and colors.

I have one note to you, you have good photo but try to make them more attractive and try to make better edit. Try to post in max. size on TE 200Kb ,more contrast and colors when it is need.
