Photographer’s Note

This photograph is taken during a falconery show at the most breathtaking medieval ruins of the Ourthe Valley, castle of Logne. I think this bird is an eagle owl.

Cette photo a été prise pendant un spectacle de fauconnerie au pied des ruines médiévales de la vallée de l'Ourthe, le château de Logne. Je pense que ce grand oiseau est un grand-duc.

Your timing was excellent to capture the bird with its entire wingspan, and just before takeoff/landing. It is an impressive looking owl! Wow, a falconry show - that would be really interesting to see! Thanks for sharing it with us!

A very spectacular moment with the open wings, this is wonderful and very pleasant for looking.
A falconry show that would be really interesting to see, every year in September are here in my village also falcon show.
