Photographer’s Note

I took this during the evening of a man in a house that was holding a fiesta ("Despedida"). I find an interesting comparison in this man's facial features and the painted fish decal on the wall behind him.
It was shot in sepia, but I desaturated it, mixed the levels in PS "Channel Mixer" with the monochrome option selected; then applied some burning techniques to try and tone down the flash, then Unsharped masked it.

Interesting work,
I like the lighting and clarity that you got on his face,
It seems that the fish is coming out from his ear :)
