This picture was taken near San Quirico d'Orcia, provincia di Siena, Tuscany. These hills are near the famous group of trees shown in many pictures, as for example here:
http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/Siena/San_Quirico_d_Orcia/photo496374.htm
They are actually on the other side of the road, just in front of them.
I would call this area "the mother of all the hills", for its exceptional beauty in any season of the year.
The hills are almost untouched, and sunlight and clouds play with them.
