La vuelta a España has started today! The opening stage, which started and finished in the city of Vigo, was dominated by three riders: Dimitri Champion, Geoffroy Lequatre and Serafín Martínez, who escaped from the main group 26 kms into the stage, with the Karpin-Galicia rider holding out alone until kilometre 145. Although the final section of the stage saw attacks by Roy and Gilbert, it was clear that the result was going to be decided in a sprint. Benatti was the winner, with Óscar Freire second.
The shot reflects the last of the three laps in the urban circuit. The pack is trying hard to catch up with Jeremy Roy, who is 15 seconds ahead. In these last kilometres, the speed was over 60 km/h (impressive!).
La Vuelta Ciclista a España was born in 1935, imitating the success of Le tour de France and Il Giro d'Italia.

En el ciclismo suele haber escaladores, aunque no lleven cámaras. Esta foto se la dedico a Xavis, escalador con cámara de altos vuelos.

Hola,
vista pequeña en la galeria no habia remarcado la originalidad de la foto. De nuevo me sorprendes gratamente saliendo de lo clasico. Transmites bien lo que quieres transmitir y de una manera que nunca antes lo habia visto,...y soy aficionado al ciclismo. (un poco menos este tiempo con todo lo del dopage).

No se si lo hiciste premeditadamente pero la geometria marcada por esa diagonal curva que se multiplica con los corredores y el detalle del color saturado explotan las pupilas . Muy buena idea y preciosa foto aunque de ciclismo no tengo mucha idea . Feliz dia
